A ritual part of a log flume ride is being captured on camera, just as you plummet down the final slide.  

For most theme park-goers, tipping over the edge is all about throwing your hands in the air and screaming with mingled fear and excitement.

However, for others, it's a cue to create hilarious pictures that will keep them - and other onlookers - in stitches long after the rollercoaster is over.

These ingenious theme park goers were determined to make the most of their theme park ride photos with hilarious props and outfits. This debonair log flume rider is enjoying a tipple thanks to his helpful waiter

From faux chess games to mild flashing, these subjects sneak their props onto the rides to create an interesting snap shot - usually mid plummet on the log flume or roller coaster. On the left two boys seem as though they are enjoy their morning rituals, eating cereal and reading a newspaper, while on the left a horse and rider are making their descent down the ride

Many made the most of their adrenaline-inducing photo opportunity by whipping out props, chess games, stripping off and pulling gravity-defying poses.

Taylor Swift is the highest profile face to appear in a log flume photo, as she was pictured screaming with excitement - while her bodyguard remained utterly impassive, with his arms crossed behind her.

The photo followed closely behind another image that swept the web of an 'angry' looking woman, Jordan Alexander, from Syracuse, New York, who maintained crossed arms and a stony expression as she braved Disney World's Splash Mountain while everyone else on the ride squealed in terror. 

Her picture went viral although she later explained that she pulled the face for the benefit of her husband who had decided not to join her on the ride at the last minute.
