Full frontal graphic sex scene in Richard Gere's new BBC drama MotherFatherSon horrifies viewers
BBC2 viewers have been left horrified by a graphic, full frontal sex scene in Richard Gere's new drama MotherFatherSon.
The political and psychological thriller focuses on the three family members, Max and Kathryn and their 30-year-old son Caden.
People at home begged "for a power cut" after being forced to watch the moment Caden strips off - apparently without sufficient warning, and some with their parents.
Viewers were told that the episode featured 'very strong language and scenes of a sexual nature' but were left gobsmacked when the character, played by Billy Howl, invited a prostitute back to his flat for sex and told her: "Pretend you know nothing about sex, about your body or mine."
He then stood completely in the buff.
One person said: "Yikes watching #Motherfatherson with my mum and there’s a very weird sex scene. Praying for a power cut."
So as I was in a few of the scenes in #MotherFatherSon we watched it this evening (bit like playing Where’s Wally) but it meant I had to sit through that weird and awkward sex scene with my parents 😫

Other viewers labelled the scene "gratuitous" whilst some admitted that they were in "fits of laughter" as they watched the episode.
The first episode of MotherFatherSon was aired on March 6, 2019, at 9pm on BBC Two, and can be seen on subsequent Wednesdays at the same time.
It was shot last summer in London and on location in Spain.
There will be eight hour long episodes of the original drama, which has been created and written by Tom Rob Smith.
The series focuses on Caden’s self-destructive lifestyle that leaves devastating consequences that threaten the future of the family, its empire, amid a country on the brink of change.
