Darren Drozdov, also known by his ring name “Droz,” is a retired professional wrestler. He was born on April 7, 1969, in Neptune, New Jersey, United States. Droz gained popularity in the late 1990s during his tenure with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE).
Droz began his career in the wrestling industry in 1996 and initially worked for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) under the name “Puke.” He had a unique and controversial gimmick where he would vomit on his opponents, which generated both attention and criticism.

In 1998, Droz signed with the WWF and was given the new ring name “Droz.” He joined the stable known as “The Legion of Doom” as their storyline protege. Droz competed in several matches for the WWF and appeared in storylines alongside Hawk and Animal, the original members of The Legion of Doom.
Unfortunately, Darren Drozdov’s wrestling career came to an abrupt end on October 5, 1999, during a live taping of the WWF’s “SmackDown!” television show. While competing in a match against D’Lo Brown, Droz suffered a severe neck injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. The injury occurred when he landed awkwardly after receiving a maneuver called the “Running Powerbomb.”
Following the injury, Droz underwent spinal surgery and faced a long and challenging road to recovery. Although he remained paralyzed, he gradually regained some mobility and was able to regain limited use of his upper body but died in 2023.
